Damaar
i havent posted anything in awile because frankly i havent heard anything thats really wowed me enough to share with you fine folks.
today i heard about a band called Damaar. they were a 3-piece Black Metal outfit from Lebanon a few years ago that managed to release 1 demo that im sharing here today.
ive read a lot of rumors about these guys about how they were finally able to produce their demo and smuggle it OUT of the country disguised as a techno compilation. original copies actually had roughly 40 minutes of electronic music at the start of it to throw people off the scent.
after relocating to austria they were finally able to get some help in releasing a proper demo to the world before breaking up.

DEAD MOON.
Dead Moon formed in 1987. With Fred Cole on vocals and guitar, his wife Toody Cole on Bass and Andrew Loomis on drums. Although most of their touring was done in Europe, leaving the U.S. shows until the mid 90s, they still accumulated a large underground following here. The link below, will give you a sample of their mono world...

THE WIPERS.
Okay, so anyone who knows me, will understand why I'm posting this... because I'm truly an "Ëlectroretard".
This is the last post from me for awhile, I'm camping in the Comox area for a couple weeks. I was hoping to catch the Kamlaniye, Archon Legion, Uninvited Sons and Swine show tonight in Merville, but I arrived too late. I'm also so pissed I missed the Slates, Taskmaster, Rusalka, Griefer show back in Victoria the same night, Brutophilia probably destroyed the place.

DEEP WOUND
Seeing as how Victoria is starting to lose it's shit over the fact that Dinosaur Jr. is coming to town (in a few months mind you), I felt it necessary to take a step back. In this case, a step back is in reality a Delorean jump back to Westfield, MA. circa 1983, when a young Lou Barlow and J. Mascis were tearing shit up in their Boston hardcore band, DEEP WOUND.
Some people tend to give me a blank stare when I tell them that Barlow and Mascis were in one of the first Boston hardcore bands, and that J. Mascis was one of the first dudes to go full out on blast beats. Don't believe me? Hear it for yourself. This is the compilation which has EVERYTHING the band did in it's short 2 year lifespan, from the S/T 7" (which now sells for insane prices, I have a bootleg on blue vinyl) up to their cuts from Bands That Could Be God.
